AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 1472-1953,
commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of Richmond, approved
April 21, 1953.
BE IT ORDAINED by the.Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana:
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1472-1953 commonly
known as the Zoning Ordinance of Richmond and the Zone Maps made a
part thereof, designated and described as "Suburban District", the
following described territory in the Two -Mile Jurisdictional Area beyond
the corporate limits of said City in Wayne County, State of Indiana, to -wit:
Being a part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 35, Township 14 North,
Range 1 West, in Wayne County, Indiana, more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at a point ninety and seven hundredths (90. 07) rods or fourteen
hundred eighty-six and fifteen hundredths (1486. 15) feet east of the inter-
section of the west line of the Southeast Quarter of Section 35 with the
center line of the National Road; thence North 0 degrees 35 minutes west
along an old established fence line six hundred sixteen and eight tenths
(616. 80) feet from the center line of the present U. S. Highway Number 40;
thence west two hundred ninety-five (295. 0) feet to the east line of a public
roadway; thence southwestwardly along the east line of said roadway to a
point five hundred seventy-two and -one-half (572. 5) feet north of the center
line of U. '5. Highway 40 and eleven hundred eighty-five and sixty-six
hundredths (1185. 66) feet east of the west line of the southeast quarter of
Section 35; thence southwestwardly along the east line of said roadway on a
one hundred fifty (150) foot radius curve to the left and continueing south -
westwardly on a fifty (50. 0) foot radius curve to the right to a point three
hundred ninety-six and one-half (396. 5) feet north of the center line of U. S.
Highway 40 .and ten hundred ninety-nine and sixty-six hundredths (1099.66)
feet east of the west line of the southeast quarter of Section 35; thence
southwardly along said east line of said fifty (50) foot roadway three hundred
ninety-six and one-half (396. 5) feet to the center line of U. S. Highway 40:
thence north 89 degrees 34 minutes east along the center line of U. S. High-
way 40 three hundred eighty-six and forty-nine hundredths to the place of
beginning. Subject however, to the Right of Way of U. S. Highway Number
40. Containing 5-1/4 acres, more or less.
WHEREAS, it is the purpose and intention hereof to change the
use of said territory to "Local Business District".

NOW THEREFORE. -
SECTION 2. It is hereby ordained that the use district in the
Zoning Ordinance and on the Zone Maps be, and the same is hereby
changed covering the above described territory to "Local Business
District" and that the said territory and the use thereof be regulated
accordingly.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval by the Mayor, and publication as
by law required. Passed by the);mmon Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, this dayof �1962.
