RESOLUTION NO. 2023-07-04
AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH HRS WATER CONSAULTANTS INC. FOR THE
INSTALLATION AND ANALYSIS OF WELL TEST HOLES
WHEREAS, Fraser is the owner of the North Water Treatment Facility with a max day
demand over 400 gallons per minute;
WHEREAS, Fraser's North Wellfield currently has a safe yield of 399 gallons per minute
when one well is offline during the winter;
WHEREAS, max water demand and sometimes exceeds the safe yield of the wells;
WHEREAS, a new well takes three years to begin production, the first step in this
process is to drill test holes and analyze the potential yield of various locations to determine the
best location for test pumping;
WHEREAS, further resolutions will be needed for test pumping of selected sites, legal
fees to obtain a water decree, and construction of new well houses;
WHEREAS, Fraser's 2023 annual budget (50-40-330) anticipate engineering fees for the
water production and distribution systems;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF FRASER, COLORADO THE FOLLOWING:
1. Authorize the Town Manager to enter into a contract for installation and analysis of
well test holes not to exceed $66,627.
READ, PASSED ON ROLL CALL VOTE, AND ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES THIS
DAY OF July 2023.
