THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA, FEBRUARY 25, 2021 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, February 25, 2021, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Emily Palmer and Matt Evans. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels,Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns,Deputy City Clerk; Greg Stiens, Director of Public Works and Engineering; Suzanne Bias, Executive Assistant to the Mayor; Fire Chief Jerry Purcell; and, Media by Zoom. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms. Palmer moved to approve the minutes of February 18, 2021, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for February 26, 2021 in the amount of One Hundred Thirty Four Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty Six Dollars and thirty one cents ($134,936.31), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Payroll Claims for Payment for February 26, 2021 in the amount of Seven Hundred Ninety Two Thousand Three Hundred Eighty Nine Dollars and sixty one cents ($792,389.61), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carries. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION Mr. Evans moved to approve the Payroll Claims For Payment for Pension for February 26, 2021 in the amount of Two Hundred Sixty Seven Thousand Five Hundred Forty Five Dollars and sixty cents ($267,545.60), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carries. REQUESTS -None Board of Works Minutes February 25.2121 BID OPENINGS -None BID AWARDS • COMMUNITY CROSSING STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT 2020-2022 Award bid to Milestone Contractors L.P in the amount of$496,769.00. 50% will be paid by the State and the remaining 50%will be paid for by the City from previously approved T.I.F funds. Ms. Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva, the motion carried. CONTRACTS -None CHANGE ORDERS -None ADDENDUMS • ADDENDUM NO. 2 TO CONTRACT NO. 205-2018—ELITE CLEAN They provide floor cleaning for the City Building. This is to extend the contract for the 2021 calendar year.Their quote was for$1,328.70 per month and 2,400.00 to clean carpets in areas that are needed once per year and spot cleaning as needed. Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva, the motion carried. • ADDENDUM NO. 2 TO CONTRACT NO. 38-2019—PRO AIR MIDWEST LLC This is to retain the contractor to continue to provide services in connection with the air compressor maintenance and air quality samples on Mako,Bauer and Eagle Equipment for the Fire Department. All terms and condition of the contract will stay the same and will be extended until March 1, 2022. Not to exceed$3,920.00 Ms. Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva, the motion carried. • ADDENDUM NO. 1 TO CONTRACT NO. 47-2020 — BARNHIZER & ASSOCIATES. INC. This is to retain them to provide services in connection with providing special precautionary cleaning and sanitizing of the City Building for the duration of COVID19. These services will be extended to May 31, 2022 with the same terms and conditions of the original contract with an additional cost of$3.00 per man hour.
