Home My Public Portal About12-05-2016 PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT DECEMBER 5, 2016 The Board of Directors for Richmond Power& Light Plant met in regular session at 7:00 p.m, December 5, 2016, in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Miller presided. ROLL CALL: Board members present were Doug Goss, Kelley Cruse-Nicholson, Bruce Wissel, Clayton Miller, Jeffrey Locke, Gary Turner, Misty Hollis, Jamie Lopeman and Ron Oler. Also present were: Randy Baker, General Manager; Walt Chidester, City Attorney; Karen Chasteen, City Clerk; Media; and, Sergeant-at-Arms. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Board Member Wissel moved to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held November 21, 2016, supported by Board Member Locke. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS: Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Board Member Oler moved to approve claims for payment in the amount of Seven Hundred Sixty One Thousand Eighty Five Dollars and thirty cents ($761,085.30)supported by Board Member Lopeman . Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. STREET LIGHT COMMITTEE: The attached report was submitted by Board Member Turner. There will be further discussion at the December 19, 2016 meeting after meeting with the General Manager. OLD BUSINESS: • AWARD BID—AUTOMATED METERING INFRASTRUCTURE: The General Manager recommended awarding this bid to Tantalus Systems, Raleigh, North Carolina, in the amount of Six Hundred Ninety Eight Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty Dollars ($698,820.00). Board member Cruse-Nicholson moved to approve, supported by Board Member Goss. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. NEW BUSINESS: • Board Member Wissel moved to adopt Salary Resolution No. 4-2016, supported by Board Member Turner. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER: None MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: None ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business and a motion duly made, the meeting was adjourned.
