FOR RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT
FEBRUARY 16, 2016
The Board of Directors for Richmond Power & Light Plant met in regular session at 7:00 p.m, February
16, 2016, in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Miller presided.
ROLL CALL:
Board members present were Doug Goss, Kelley Cruse-Nicholson, Bruce Wissel, Clayton Miller, Jeffrey
Locke, Gary Turner, Misty Hollis and Jamie Lopeman. Absent was Ron Oler.
Also present were: Randy Baker, General Manager; Walt Chidester, City Attorney; Karen Chasteen, City
Clerk; Fire Chief Jerry Purcell; Media; and, Sergeant-at-Arms.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Mr. Locke moved to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held February 1, 2016, supported by Mr.
Wissel. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed.
APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS:
Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Mr. Wissel moved to approve claims for payment in the
amount of Seven Million Eight Hundred Nine Thousand Four Hundred Twenty One Dollars and seventy
one cents($7,809,421.71)supported by Ms. Cruse-Nicholson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed.
STREET LIGHT COMMITTEE:
None
OLD BUSINESS:
None
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Mr.Wissel moved to authorize the General Manager to receive bids for replacement of
the Service building roof section 5 as previously approved in the Capital budget,
Department 1550, line 5, supported by Ms. Hollis. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion
carried.
2. Mr. Locke moved to authorize the General Manager to receive quotes for a new 4 wheel
drive, super cab pickup truck as previously approved in the Capital budget, department
1550, line 7, which would replace unit#31, a 2003 Chevy Pickup truck with 68,367 miles,
supported by Ms. Cruse-Nicholson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried.
