FOR RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT
JULY 18, 2016
The Board of Directors for Richmond Power & Light Plant met in regular session at 7:00 p.m. July 18,
2016, in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Miller presided.
ROLL CALL:
Board members present were Doug Goss, Bruce Wissel, Clayton Miller, Jeffrey Locke, Gary Turner, Misty
Hollis, Jamie Lopeman and Ron Oler. Absent were Councilors Hollis and Cruse-Nicholson.
Also present were: Randy Baker, General Manager; Walt Chidester, City Attorney; Karen Chasteen, City
Clerk; Media; and, Sergeant-at-Arms.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Board member Locke moved to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held July 5, 2016, supported
by Board member Wissel. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed.
APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS:
Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Board member Oler moved to approve claims for
payment in the amount of Five Million Eight Hundred Twenty Thousand Six Hundred Thirty One Dollars
and one cent($5,820,631.01), supported by Board member Lopeman. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion
passed.
STREET LIGHT COMMITTEE:
None
OLD BUSINESS:
None
NEW BUSINESS:
A. REQUESTS TO RECEIVE BIDS:
• Board member Wissel moved to authorize the General Manager to receive bids on a 47'
bucket truck to replace unit#52, supported by Board member Goss. Upon a vote viva
voce, the motion carried.
• Board member Locke moved to authorize the General Manager to receive bids on a 56'5"
bucket truck to replace unit #25, supported by Board member Goss. Upon a vote viva
voce, the motion carried.
REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER:
• Summer projects are going well.
