FOR RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT
SEPTEMBER 19, 2016
The Board of Directors for Richmond Power&Light Plant met in regular session at 7:00 p.m., 2016, in the
Council Chambers of the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Miller presided.
ROLL CALL:
Board members present were Doug Goss, Kelley Cruse-Nicholson, Bruce Wissel, Clayton Miller, Jeffrey
Locke, Gary Turner, Misty Hollis, Jamie Lopeman and Ron Oler.
Also present were: Randy Baker, General Manager; Walt Chidester, City Attorney; Karen Chasteen, City
Clerk; Media; and, Sergeant-at-Arms.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Board Member Locke moved to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held September 6, 2016,
supported by Board Member Wissel. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried.
APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS:
Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Board Member Locke moved to approve claims for
payment in the amount of Six Million Two Hundred Thirty One Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty Two
Dollars and seventy five cents ($6,231,992.75), supported by Board Member Lopeman. Upon a vote viva
voce, the motion carried.
STREET LIGHT COMMITTEE:
The procedure for requesting street lights was presented and will be reviewed.
OLD BUSINESS:
None
NEW BUSINESS:
• REQUEST TO RECEIVE QUOTES ON THE CONCRETE CANOPY REMEDIATION
Board Member Hollis moved to authorize the general Manager to receive quotes on the concrete
canopy remediation, supported by Board Member Lopeman. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion
carried.
REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER:
• Lineman Rodeo—Indiana Municipal Electric Association
Fresh men Nick Maurer and Michael Berger placed well as well as veteran Chris Wagner who
placed First overall.
