HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-21-2015 PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR RICHMOND POWER & LIGHT DECEMBER 21, 2015 The Board of Directors for Richmond Power& Light Plant met in regular session at 7:00 p.m. December 21, 2015, in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Quinn presided. ROLL CALL: Board members present were Doug Goss, Kelley Cruse-Nicholson, Bruce Wissel, Clayton Miller, Larry Parker, Misty Hollis, Ron Oler and Phil Quinn. Absent was Don Winget. Also present were: Randy Baker, General Manager; Walt Chidester, City Attorney; Monica Bums, Deputy City Clerk; Jeff Locke; Police Chief Mark Connery; Jerry Purcell, Fire Chief; Dakota Collins; Phyllis Quinn; Amanda Markee; Bob Schroeder; Media;and, Sergeant-at-Arms. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Mr. Parker moved to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held December 7, 2015, supported by Ms. Hollis. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion passed. APPROVAL OF BILLS, INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS: Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Mr. Parker moved to approve claims for payment in the amount of One Million Thirteen Thousand Two Hundred and One Dollars and sixty six cents ($1,013,201.66), supported by Ms. Hollis. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion passed. STREET LIGHT COMMITTEE: None OLD BUSINESS: Mr. Parker moved to amend the previously approved and passed Resolution No. 3-2015, signed and dated December 7, 2015, which resolution was a resolution fixing the number and compensation of employees at Richmond Power& Light, in order to correct a scrivener's error with the incorrect resolution number to reflect and change said Resolution to be numbered and tracked as Resolution No. 4-2015 supported my Ms. Hollis. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed. NEW BUSINESS: • BID AWARD: NEW CARGO VAN —Mr. Wissel moved to award the bid to Dillion Auto in Greenfield, IN in the amount of $30,514.00, supported by Ms. Cruse-Nicholson. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. REPORT BY GENERAL MANAGER: • There is a judgement against Community Action for the monies owed to Richmond Power & Light. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS: Phil Quinn was presented with a gavel for his service as President of the Board for 2015. Larry Parker was presented with a monogramed coat and sweater with a plaque for all of his years of service.
