HomeMy Public PortalAbout06-15-2015 PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR RICHMOND POWER& LIGHT JUNE 15, 2015 The Board of Directors for Richmond Power& Light Plant met in regular session at 7:00 p.m. June 15, 2015, in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Quinn presided. ROLL CALL: Board members present were Doug Goss, Bruce Wissel, Clayton Miller, Don Winget, Larry Parker, Misty Hollis, and Phil Quinn. Absent were Kelley Cruse-Nicholson and Ron Oler. Also present were: Randy Baker, General Manager, Walt Chidester, City Attorney; Karen Chasteen, City Clerk; Media; and, Sergeant-at-Arms. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Mr. Parker moved to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held June 1, 2015, supported by Ms. Hollis. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed. APPROVAL OF BILLS,INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS: Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee, Mr. Parker moved to approve claims for payment in the amount of Five Million Four Hundred Seventy Eight Thousand Eight Hundred and Six Dollars and Five Cents($5,478,806.05), supported by Ms. Hollis. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion passed. STREET LIGHT COMMITTEE: OLD BUSINESS: • Mr. Miller thanked Mr. Baker for arranging the Candidates Forum at the Plant. • OPEN BIDS ON A NEW EXTENDED CAB '/: TON PICKUP TRUCK FOR PARALLAX AS APPROVED IN THE BUDGET: Mr. Parker moved to accept and file the Proof of Publication, supported by Mr. Winget. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Bids were received as follows: Wetzel Truck Only $21,588.00—includes trade in Extra storage bins $ 3,475.00 Weather Guard $ 1,463.00 Dale Auto Family Truck $22,618.00—includes trade in Alternate bid $21,575.00 Mr. Winget moved to refer the bids to the General Manager for due diligence, supported by Mr. Parker. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • OPEN BIDS ON THE SERVICE BUILDING MASONRY TUCK POINT AND SEAL AND PAINTING OF THE GARAGE NORTH AND WEST PASS DOORS AS APPROVED IN THE BUDGET: • RP&L-Board of Directors Minutes June 15,2015 Page 2 Mr. Parker moved to accept and file the Proof of Publication, supported by Mr. Winget. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. Bids were received as follows: Trisco Systems, Lima, OH $98,507.00 Kemna Restoration, Indianapolis, IN $95,890.00 Leon Thomas Construction, Richmond $47,930.00 Beard Masonry, Richmond $69,880.00 Bryan Brothers, Piqua, OH $78,495.00 Mr. Miller moved to refer the bids to the General Manager for due diligence, supported by Mr. Winget. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried.
