ORDINANCE NO. 1836-1961
"AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $14.,400.00., FROM THE CITY GENERAL FUND TO THE FIRE DEPARTInMNT
BUDGET2 FOR PAYROLL AND CLOTHING FOR THREE (3) ADDITIONAL MEN TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, Certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the
existing annual budget so that it is notr necessary to appropriate more money for the
various functions of the City government in the annual budget,,
SECTION 1, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that
for the expenses of the City government and its institutions for the year ending
December 31, 19 61 t, the follovrIng amount of money is hereby appropriated and set
apart out of the fund named and for the purpose specified Said sum being subject to
all laws governing the same. Such amounts appropriated shall be held'to include all
expenditures authorized to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law,
SECTION 2. That for said fiscal period, there is hereby appropriated the following
specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist.

SECTION 3, An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation.
SECTION Fro This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the lags of the State of Indiana governing
emergency appropriations.
