• 2020 Road Program & Common Street (Onyx Corporation)
o Continue curb and sidewalk on Nichols Ave.
o As resources permit, begin crosswalk work at N. Beacon Street and Paul Street
• 20-01W Water Main Replacement (Commonwealth Construction)
o Begin final trench paving and repair of sidewalk panels damaged during water main installation
(Essex St., Nash St., Pine St., and Oak St.)
• 2021 Road Program (Lorusso Corporation)
o Contractor will continue installing drainage and stormwater tree trenches on Hazel Street
o Lower castings on Gertrude Street, Goldie Street, Elmwood Ave., and Grandview Ave.
o Begin pavement reclamation and grading on Gertrude Street, Goldie Street, Elmwood Ave., and
Grandview Ave.
• Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitations Contract 19-01S (Commonwealth Construction)
o Contractor will begin permanent patch and repair of sidewalk panels damaged during sewer
repair work at various locations
Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitations Contract 20-01S (Umbra & Sons Construction)
Inland Waters will grout service connections in lined sewers on the following streets:
o Bailey Road (Brigham Street to Mt. Auburn Street)
o Garfield Street (Brigham Street to Mt. Auburn Street)
o Irving Street (North Irving Park to North Beacon Street)
o Mt. Auburn Street (Amherst Road to Bailey Road; Bates Road to Franklin Street)
o Parker Street
o Riverside Street (Irving Street to Wheeler Lane)
o Russell Avenue (Brigham Street to Columbia Street)
o Spruce Street (Lincoln Street to Mt. Auburn Street)
o Stoneleigh Road (Stoneleigh Circle to Bailey Road)
o Washburn Street (Franklin Street to Otis Street)
• 2021 Sanitary Sewer Investigations (National Water Main)
o Contractor will be cleaning and inspecting various sewer lines and begin flow isolation of sewers
(12:00 AM — 6:00 AM) within the project area. No interruption of water or sewer service is
anticipated, however there may be temporary road closures and/or parking restrictions.
Highland Ave. Water Main Replacement —Lexington Street to Olney Street (Commonwealth
Construction)
• Work is complete.
• Pavement Preservation —Mill & Overlay (LoRusso Corporation)
• Contractor will pave the following milled areas, beginning Monday, May 3:
Sparkill Street (Grant Ave. to Belmont Street)
Duff Street (Madison Ave. to Belmont Street, east side only)
Belmont Street (Waltham Line to Harrington Street)
Sycamore Street (#226 to #256 Sycamore Street)
Rose Ave. (Madison Ave. to Carey Ave.)
Hamden Street (Whitney Street to Waverley Ave.)
Sidewalk Repair Program (Century Paving)
o Contractor will begin complete streets curb and sidewalk work on Watertown Street at Morse
Street and California Street at Fifth Ave.
• National Grid Gas Work
Utility companies are responsible for notifying residents prior to conducting work, but planned work
is listed below:
o Continue gas main replacement on Green Street
o Continue gas main replacement on Oak Street
o Continue gas main replacement on Beechwood Ave.
o Begin gas main replacement on Cottage Street
o Contractor (Midway) will continue restoration of Belmont Street at Duff Street —curb and
sidewalk installation
