BE IT ORDAIMED by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana:
SEcTY®N 1. waERMS, a question has arisen with regard to
the exact zoning in the area between the west line of Northwest 5th
Street and the East l i sae of Northwest 6tb Street and mrbanding North
therefrom to the first alley South of Pearl Street, thence East along
said alley to the east line of Northwest 5th Street, thence South along
the West line to the intersection of Northwest 5th. and Main Street.
CMS, the Zone May, a past of 09di nance No. 1472-1953,
Commonly k noiem as the Zoning Ordinance of Richmond, is indefinite -as
to the line of de rcation between the area zoned for local business
and the area zoned for "C Residential" in the area hereinabove described.
WHEREAS, it has always been the understanding of the mmbers
of the City Plan Comiasion, the Office of tbs.-City Engineer, and other
officials of the City of Richmond, Indiana that the local business
district, insofar as it relatea to the above described area, is as
follows:
"Com. mncing at -the intersection of the West line
of Northwest 5th Street and the North line of brain
Street, thence West along the Korth° line of Malin
Street to the West line of Lot #93 in the Ehollwood
Addition, thence North along the West line of Lot
05, extanded, to the first alley South of Pearl
Street, thence East to the West line of Northwest
5th Street, thence South along the West line of
Northwest 5th Street to the place of beginning."
WHERMSe it is the purpose and intention hereof" to confirm
the use of the above described area . for "local business"'.
NO-W, TFMREVORE9 BE IT ORDhIKED by the Common Council of tbss
City of Richmond, Indiana that the use district in the Zoning ordinance
and on the Zone map.: be, and the aamas . is hereby confirmed to be "local
business", and that said territory and the use and area thereof be
regulated acm dinglyt that the following described real estate shall
and is to be considered as "local buOineas", to -wit:
"Commwncinq at the intersection of the West line
of Nortbwast Sth Street and the North line of Main
Street, thence West along the North line of Alain
Street to the worst lane of Lot #5 in the Enollwood
Addition, thence North along the Went line of Lot
#5, Mended, to the first alley south of Pearl
Street, 'chance East to the West line of Northwest
5tb Street, thence South along -the Went line of
Northwest 5th Street to the place of beginning."
