AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 1472 - 1953 -, commonly
known as the Zoning Ordinance of Richmond, approved April 21, 1953.
BE IT ORDAINED by the. Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana:
SDCTION.1 -- WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1472 - 1953 -, commonly
known as the Zoning Ordinance of Richmond and the Zone Maps made
a part.thereof, designates and describes as "A" Residential, the follow-
ing described territory located at 1811 South 9th Street in the City of
Richmond, Indiana, to=wit:
A part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 9, Township 13,
Range 1 West, in the City of Richmond, Wayne County,
Indiana, more particularly described .as follows, to -wit:
Beginning/ at a point on the east side of South 9th Street
in the City of Richmond, Indiana 100 feet north of the
northwest corner of certain land owned by Arthur Wilson
Jenkins, and being also the northwest corner of certain land
owned by Ray and Betty Somers; running thence north along
the east side of South 9th Street, a distance of 100 feet;
thence east a distance .of 300 feet; thence south .100 feet;
thence west 300 feet, to South 9th Street to the place of
beginning.
WHEREAS, it is the purpose and intention hereof to change the use
of said territory to "C" Residential District,
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 2 --.It is hereby ordained that the use district in the
Zoning Ordinance and on the Zone Map be, and the same is hereby
changed covering,the above described territory to "C" Residential
District and that the said territory and the use and area thereof be
regulated accordingly.
SECTION 3 -- This -Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval by the Mayor, and publication. as by law
