AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance #1472-1953, commonly known as the
,Zoning Ordinance of Richmond, approved April 21, 1953.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, State
of Indiana;
SECT -ION 1. - WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1472-1953 commonly known as the
Zoning Ordinance of Richmond and the Zone Maps made a part thereof, designates and
described as "A" Residential District and as "'Suburban District", the following
described territory in said City of Richmond, Wayne County, State of Indiana, and in
the Two -Mile Jurisdictional Area beyond the corporate limits of said City in Wayne
County, State of Indiana, to -wit:

TRACT 1
A part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 8, Township 13 North, Range 1 West, in Wayne
County, Indiana, described as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Quarter Section and running thence North 1476
feet; thence West 561 feet; thence South 9 degrees 30 minutes East, 252.5 feet; thence South
34 degrees West 272 feet; thence South 5 degrees West 167 feet; thence South 248 feet;
thence East 115 feet; thence 'South 266. 5 feet; thence North 84 .degrees West 360 feet to a
point in the line between the lands of the Grantee and Grantor; thence South 12 degrees 20
minutes West 328 feet; thence South 82 degrees .35 minutes East 389 feet to a point in the
South line of said Quarter Section; thence East 745 feet to the place of beginning, containing
24. 4 acres, more or less.
TRACT 2
A part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 8, and a part of the Northwest Quarter of
Section 17, all in Township 13 North, Range 1 West, bounded and described as follows,
to -wit:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of Section 8, Township 13
North, Range 1 West, and running thence West 745 feet; thence North 82 degrees 35
minutes West 389 feet; thence North 12 degrees 20 minutes East 401. 6 feet; thence. North
23 degrees 10 minutes East 402.6 feet; thence North 54.degrees 17 minutes East 184. 1
feet; thence North 14 degrees East 216. 8 feet; thence North 13 degrees 30 minutes East
129 feet; thence 'South 89 degrees 30 minutes west 443 feet to the Northeast corner of the
land formerly owned by Vincent Newman; thence South 10-3/4 degrees West 544.5 feet to
said Newman's Southeast corner; thence East 121 feet to the foot of the bank on the East
side of run; thence South 14-1/ 2 degrees west 288.75 feet to a lynn stump; thence South
31-1/2 degrees West 297 feet to a point; thence South 20-3/4 degrees West 438.9 feet to a
stone; thence South 3/4 degree:. East 233.64 feet.to a stone; thence South 81 degrees East
1513.875 feet to a stone; thence North 1. degree West 738 feet to the place of beginning,
containing 27.80 acres, more or less.
TRACT 3
Part of the West half of 'Section 17, Township 13, Range 1 West, beginning at the center
of said Section; thence North on the half 'Section line 115. 62 rods to a stone; thence North
80 degrees west 92 rods to a stone; thence South 1.58 rods; thence South 52 degrees West
58. 67 rods; thence South;l5 degrees 10 °minutes West 27 rods to a stake; thence South 10
degrees 50 minutes East 72•. 72 rods to a stake;, -thence East 3.6. 09 rods to a stake; thence
South 5 rods to a stone marked "66" on the West and "34" on South side; thence East 95.33
rods to a stake on the half -Section line; thence North 7. 2 rods to the place of beginning,
containing 10649 acres, more or.. less.
TRACT 4
A part of the northeast quarter of Section 17, Township 13 North, Range 1 West in Wayne
County, Indiana, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of said quarter section; thence west along the north line
of said quarter section 162 rods to the northwest corner of said quarter section; thence
south along the west line of said quarter section 44. 33 rods; thence north 79 degrees and
42 minutes east, 60.92 rods; thence south 19 degrees east 30. 84 rods; thence north 85
degrees east 50. 22 rods to a point 41.9 rods from the .east line of said quarter section;
thence south 21. 57 rods to a stake in the north line of a private driveway; thence north 85
degrees east along said -north line 27.58 rods; thence north 11 rods; thence east 14.6 rods
to the east line of said quarter section; thence north along said east line 65. 58 rods to the
place of beginning, containing an area of 56 acres, moreor less.
TRACT 5
A part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 17, Township 13 North, Range 1 West in Wayne
Township, Wayne County, Indiana, being more particularly .described as. follows:
Beginning at a point 736. 8 feet south. of the northwest corner of the northeast quarter of
Section 17 and running thence south, on the west line of said quarter, 1101.6 feet; thence
east 1017 feet; thence north 10 degrees and 25 minutes west 708 feet; thence north 65.
degrees and 44 minutes east 285. 75 feet; thence north 19 degrees west 502 feet; thence
south 79 degrees and 42 degrees west 1012,.5 feet to the place of beginning, containing
an area of 27.59 acres, more or less.

WHEREAS, it is the purpose and the intention hereof to change the use of
said territory to "Heavyr Industrial' District".
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 2. - It is hereby ordained that the use district in the Zoning
Ordinance and on the Zone Map be, and the same is hereby changed covering the above
described territory to "Heavy Industrial District" and that the said territory and the
use and area thereof be regulated accordingly.
SECTION 3. - This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval by the Mayor, .and publication as by law required. Pa sed by the
