AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance _10. _47_ 195>> commonly known as the Zoning
�
Ordinance of Richmond, approved April 21, 1953.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana:
SECTION 1, 1ATE REAS, Ordinance No.� 1472-1953 commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance
of Richmond and the Zone Maps made a part thereof, designated and described as
" Suburban District'", the following described territory in the Two -Mile
Jizrisdictiona.l Area beyond the corporate limits of said City in Wayne County,
State of Indiana, to -wit:
"Being a, part of the Southeast Quarter of Section Thirty -Five (35), Township
Fourteen (14) North, Range One (1) West, and a. part of the Northeast Quarter of
Section Two (2), Township Thirteen (13) North, Range One (1) West, both in Wayne
Township, Wayne Count-tr, Indiana, and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the west line of the southeast quarter of said section
thirty-five (35), said point being one hundred thirty-one and eight tenths (131,8)
feet north of the southwest corner of said southeast quarter, and running thence,
from said becinning point, north zero (0) degrees and thirty-eight (38) minutes
east, along said west line, four hundred twenty-six and ninety-two hundredths
(426.92 ) feet; thence east, at right angles to said west line, twenty (20) feet
to a concrete right-of-way monument on the east line of the Garwood. Road; thence
north, six (6) degrees and twenty (20) minutes east, along the east right-of-way
line of said Garwood- Road, one hundred ninety-eight (198) feet to a concrete
monument on said right-of-way, said monument being forty (40) feet east of the
west line of said southeast quarter; thence north, forty-two (42) degrees and seven
(07) minutes east, along said right-of-way line, one hundred eleven and seventy-
three hundredths (111,73) feet to a concrete right-of-way monument on the south
right -of -:-ray line of United States Highway Number Forty ( U.S,.. 40 ); thence north
eighty-nine(89) degrees and thirty-four'(34) minutes east, along said south
right-of-142Y line, eight hundred fcrty-five and sixty-four hundredths (845.64)
feet to a concrete .right-of-way monument; thence south zeor (0) degrees and
twenty-six (26) minutes west, twenty-five (25) feet to a concrete right -of --way
monument; thence north eighty-nine (89) degrees and thirty-four (34) minutes east,
along said south right-of-way line, five hundred twenty-eight and seventeen hundredths
(528.17) feet to an established fence line; thence south twenty-six minutes west,
eia•ht hundred seventy-eight and eighty-one hundredths (878.81 ) feet; thence south
eighty-one (81) degrees and twenty-four (24) minutes west, five hundred thirty-six
and thirty-seven hundredths (536.37) feet; thence north zero (0) degrees and
thirty-eight (38) mi_nutes east, two hihndred forty-three and forty-five hundredths
(243.45) feet; thence north eighty-eight (88) degrees and thirty-four (34) minutes
Crest, nine hundred sixty-ttao and seventy-four hundredths (962.74) feet to the
place of beginning, containing an area of twenty-six and seventy-fi?me hundredths
<26,75) acres, more or less, there being twenty-five and eighty hundredths (25,.80)
acres, more or less, in the southeast quarter of said section thirty-five (35),
and ninety-five hi_indredths (0.95) acres, more or less, in the northeast quarter
of said section two (2).
hTHEREA.S, it is the purpose and intention hereof to change the use of said
territory to " General Business District".
Ng.,j.-THE_REFORE: SECTION 2, It is hereby ordained that the use district in the
Zonin�-_ Ordinance and on the Zone ?Flaps be, and the same is hereby changed covering
the above described territory to " General Business District " and. that the said
territory and the use thereof be regulated accordingly.
SECTION 3$ This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval by the Mayor, and publication as by law required. ^
