AN ORDINANCE AIAENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1472-1953, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,, APPROVED APRIL 21, 1953.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana:
SECTION 1. TiMREAS, Ordinance No. 1472-1953, commonly known as the
Zoning Ordinance of Richmond and the Zone A4 p made a part thereof, dewignates
and describes as "A" Residential, the following described territory in said City
of Richmond, Wayne County, State of Indiana, to wit:
TRACT A
Being a part of the Northwest Quarter of Section Six (6), Township
Thirteen (13) North, Range One (1) West, and a part of Fractional Section
One (1), Township Thirteen (13) North, Range Two (2) West, in the City
of Richmond, Indiana, and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point six and five tenths (6.5) feet east and two hundred
seventy-nine and nine hundredths (279.09) feet north of the southwest
corner of the northwest quarter of said section six (6), and running
thence, from said beginning point, west four hundred thirty and eleven
hundredths (430.11) feet to a point one hundred forty (140) feet south
two (2) degrees west of a concrete filled steel corner post ata corner
of Francis Robinson's tract; thence north two (2) degrees east, along
the west line of said Robinson's tract, seven hundred forty (740) feet
to the center line of United States Highway Number Forty (40); thence
north eighty-one (81) degrees east, along said center line, six hundred
twenty-two and one tenth (622.1) feet to the intersection of said center
line with the west the west line of lot number fifteen (15) in Sutton
Place Addition extended north; thence south, along the west line of said
Sutton Place Addition, five hundred forty-six and thirty-one hundredths
(546.31) feet, more or less, to the canter line of Southwest "D" Street;
thence west, along the center line of said Southwest "D" Street extended
west, and along the north line of said Sutton Place Addition, one hundred
eighty-four and five tenths (184.5) feet to a point six and five tenths
(6.5) feet east of the west line of the northwest quarter of said section
six (6); thence south, parallel to and six and five tenths (6.5) feet
east of the west line of said quarter, two hundred-ninety-twro (292) feet
to the place of beginning,containing a total area of ten and twenty-five
hundredths (10.25) acres, more or less, there being seven and fifty-four
hundredths (7.54) acres, more or less, in said fractional section one(1),
and two and seventy-one hundredths (2.71) acres, more or less, in said
section six (6)
TRACT B
Part of the Northeast Quarter of Fractional Section One (1), Township
Thirteen (13) North, Range Two (2) West, and beginning in the south
line of the National Road four hundred thirty-seven (437) feet west
of the east line of said quarter section and running thence west with
said National Road sixty (60) feet to a stake; thence south five hundred
sixteen and forty hundredths (516.40) feet to a stake; thence east sixty
(60) feet to an iron post; thence north five hundred twenty-three (523)
feet to the place of beginning,eontaining seven hundred seventeen thousandths
(0.717) acres, more or less.
TRACT C
Part of the Northeast Quarter of Fractional Section One (1), Township
Thirteen (13) North, Range Two (2) West, and beginning in the South line
of the National Road 497.00 feet wrest of the east line of said Quarter
Section and running thence wrest, with said National Road, 67.50 feet to
a post; thence south 509.00 feet to a post; thence east 66.00 feet to a
stake; thence north 516.40 feet to the place of beginning, containing
0.7$$ acres,more or less.
11HEREAS,it is the purpose and intention hereof to change the use of said
territory to "Local Business"
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 2. It is hereby ordained that the use district in the Zoning
Ordinance and on the Zone Map be, and same is hereby changed covering the
above described territory to "Local Business" and that the said
territory and the use and area thereof be regulated accordingly®
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be -in full force and effedt from -and
after its passage, approval by the Mayon, and publication as by law required.
