AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING CERTAIN FUNDS FROM ITEM NO. E-3,
COMMON COUNCIL, CONTINGENCIES, TO ITEM NO. 0-2, DOG CATCHER
DEPARTMENT, MISCELLANEOUS SUPPLIES
WHEREAS: Certain extraordinary conditions have developed
since the adoption of the existing annual budget, so that it Is
now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in
the annual budget for the various functions of the City Government
to meet such extraordinary emergencies:
SECTION I . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, that for the expense of the City
Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31,
1957, the following sums of money are hereby appropriated and set
apart out of the several funds herein named and for the purposes
herein specified, subject to the laws governing the same , such sums
herein appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures
authorized to be made during the year, unless otherwise expressly
stipulated and provided by law.
SECTION II, That for said fiscal period there is hereby
appropriated out of the various city funds hereinafter named, the
following specified amounts to meet extraordinary emergencies which
are hereby declared to exist;

SECTION III .
WHEREAS: It has been shown that certain existing appropria-
tions now unobligated balances which will not be needed for the
purposes for which appropriated.
IT IS THEREFORE, FURTHER ORDAINED by aforesaid Common
Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that such unnecessary ex-
, isting appropriations be now reduced in amounts as follows:

SECTION IV. That an extraordinary emergency exists for
the above appropriation.
SECTION V. That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor
and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing
emergency appropriations.
