AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE BASIC, ANNUAL SALARY OF THE CITY CLERK
WHEREAS. the 90th Session of the Council Assembly of the State of
Indiana° enacted An Act 06tagernlng the Government of Civil Cities wherein
it provided that on and after the effective date of the Act, Apr11 1°1957,
Clerks of Cities of Second Class having a population of not less than
. 35,000 nor more than 50,000, shall receive and the Common Council shall
appropriate in lieu of any salary other than additional compensation pro-
vided for additional duties. an annual basic salary no less than Thirty=
Five Hundred ($3500000) nor more than Forty-Five Hundred ($4500,00)0
WHEREAS° the City Richmond, Indiana, is a city of. the second class
having a population of not: less than 35,000 normore than 50,000.

THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED ey THE COMMON COUNCIL of the City of Richmond,
Indiana
Section Is That effective as of April 1, 19570 the basic annual salary
of the City Clerk of the City of Richmond,Indiana0 shall be Forty-Five
Hundred ($4500000) Dollars, •
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval of the Mayor0
