AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE RATE AND AMOUNT OT{- TAXES FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES TO BE LEVIED

SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINT+ID BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,
WrAYNE, COUNTY, INDIANA, That the amount of taxes to be levied on property.axed polls
within the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, for the year 1957, to be col.l.ected.
in 1958, shall be $512,040000 and the rate of such tax and purpose thereof shall be
as followso • I -
Ao For the General Fund. of said City, the levy shall be $ O - on. each
One Hundred Dollars assessed valuation, and this shall be placed in the said General
Fund with monies raised by po1:l.. t ax $ -, 53 :0
Il; For the. General Sinking Fund of said. City for the purIpose of paying interest
and principal on bonded indebtness, etc., , of said City, on each One Hundred Dollars
assessed valuation, there shall be levied $ 0.125 0
C. For the Police Pension Fund of said City, on each One Hundred Dollars
assessed valuation;, there shall be levied $ 0,075 a
D. For the City Planning Commission of said City, on each One Hundred
Dollars assessed valuation, there shall be levied $0.01. c.
Eo For the Park Department of said City, on each One Hundred Dollars
assessed valuation, there shall be levied $0.1 50
F o For. the Municipal Airport of said City, on each One Hundred Dollars

Go For the Special Street Department of said City, on each One Hundred

E. And there shall also be assessed and collected on each taxable poll .
within the City of Richmond,W'ayne County„ Indiana, the sum of $0.25 making a total
tax rate on property w thin the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, the sum of
$ 103175 on. each One Hundred Dollars assessed valuation;,
Sa;TION 2,. Said taxes shall be paid and allocated as p°ovided by an ACT of
the General Assembly of the State of Indiana, entitled, "AN ACT GOVERMLNG MUNICIPAL
CORPORATIONS", approved March 6., 19050 and subsequent parts thereto amendatory and/
or supplemental thereto or therefor.

SECTION 3,. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Thdiana,,
properly signed by the President of Common Council thereof, sulmission to and approval
. of the Mayor of the City of Richr,;cnd,Indi ana, and :with.notice as is required by law.
