AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING CERTAIN FUNDS FROM. ITEM NO0 P-10, PARK DEPARTMENT° ELECTRIC
CURRENT TO ITEM NO0 P-8, PARK DEPARTMENT„ 'TELEPHONE & TELEGRAPH; AND FROM ITEM NO0 P-10,
PARK DEPARTMENT, ELECTRIC CURRENT TO ITEM NO0 P-220 PARK DEPARTMENT, GASOLINE.
WH.LREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the '
existing annual budget, so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was
appropriated in the annual budget for the various functions of the City Government to
meet extraordinary emergencies

SECTION I° BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, that
for the expense of the City Government and it institutions for the year ending December
31, /957, the following sums of money are hereby appropriated and set apart out of the
fund herein named and for the purpose herein specified, subject to the laws governing
the same, such sums herein appropriated shall be held. to include all expenditures authorized
to be made during the year, 'unless otherwise expressly stipulated and provided by law.
SECTION II. That for said fiscal period there is hereby appropriated out of the city.
fund hereinafter named, the following. specified amounts to meet extraordinary emergencies
-which are hereby declared to exist:

SECTION III. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now
. unobligated balances which will.not be needed for the purpose which appropriated.
IT IS THEREFORE FURTHER ORDAINED by the aforeasid Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that such unnecessary existing appropriations be now reduced in amounts as follows:

SECTION IV0 That an extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation.

SECTION V. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage apd approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana
governing emergency appropriations.
