ORDINANCE NO, 1643-1957
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO01472-19530 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF RICHMOND, APPROVED APRIL 21, 1953
BE IT ORDAINEDby the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana:
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1472-19530 commonly known as the Zoning
Ordinance of Richmond and the Zone Maps made a part thereof, designates and describes
as "Suburban" the following described territory in the jurisdictional area of said
City, to-wit:
A part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 17, Township
14 North, Range 1 West, Wayne County Indiana, described
as follows:

Beginning at a point in the east line of said Quarter
Section 1648.6 feet north of the Southeast corner of
said Quarter Section and running thence North along
the East line of said Quarter Section 150 feeto thence
West 600 feet, thence South, parallel with the East
line of said Quarter Section 150 feet, thence east
600 feet to the place of beginnings
WHEREAS, it is the purpose and intention hereof to change the use of said
- territnry to "Local Business" District.
NOW THEREFORE: -
SECTION 2, It is hereby ordained that the use district in the Zoning Ordinance
and on the Zone Map be, and the same is hereby changed covering the above described
territory to "Local Business" District and that the said territory and the use and
area thereof be regulated accordingly,
SECTION 3 This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval by the Mayor, and publication as by law required,
