TYPICAL SECTION
1. All work shall be done in conformance with the applicable portions of the Standard Specifications of
the City of San Mateo, dated January, 1962. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to
locate all substructures, whether shown hereon or not, and protect them from damage. The contractor
shall bear the total expense of repair or replacement of said substructures damaged by his operation
in connection with the prosecution of this work.
2. Elevations shown are based on City datum. Bench mark: South rim of the manhole located west of the
island at 41st & Hacienda; elev. 235.12'. To convert to M.S.L. (U.S.0 & G.S.) add 2.35'.
3. The finished surface of the roadway shall conform to a uniform transition with the existing roadway.
4. The area behind the new curb shall be filled with excavated material to form a uniform transition
with the existing ground surface.
