ORDINANCE NO,/6 -1957
AN ORDINANCE AP ,NDING ORDINANCE NO. 1472-1953, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF
RICHMOND, APPROVED APRIL 21, 1953.
BE IT ORDAINED by ,the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana:
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1472-1953, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance
of Richmond, and the zone maps made a part thereof, designates and describes as "Suburban"
the following described territory in the jurisdictional area of said City:
A part od the west half of the Southwest quarter of Section 3, Township 13 North,
Range 1 West, Wayne Township, Wayne County, Indiana, and being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the west line of the Southwest Quarter of said section 3,
said point being four hundred sixteen and two thirds feet (416.66') south of the
Northwest corner of said quarter and running east seven hundred feet (700'); thence
North four hundred feet (400'); thence South eighty nine (89) degrees and thirty (30)
minutes east twelve and fifty nine hundredts (12.59) rods; thence South eleven and
fifty two hundredths (11.52) rods; thence East ten and two tenths (10.2) rods; thence
South sixty six and fifty two hundredths (66.52) rods; thence North eighty four (84)
degrees and thirty minutes (30) west five hundred eighty five and sixty one (585.61)
feet to the Southeast corner of a tract of land owned by E. S. Hultman; thence North
on the East line of said Hultman, three hundred thirty three and seventy one hundredths
(333.71) feet; thence North forth nine (49) degrees west, along said tract two hundred
twenty five and seven hundredths (225.07) feet; thence west on the said north line
of the Hultman tract three hundred thirty three and fouteen hundredths (333.14) feet
to the West line of said quarter at the Northwest corner of said tract; thence North
on the West line of said quarter three hundred seventy one and ninety seven hundredths
(371.97) feet to the place of beginning, containing an area of twenty and sixteen
hundredths (20.16) acres, more or less.
WHEREAS, it is the purpose and intention hereof tb change the use of said territory
to "Local Business " district.
NOV THERE'ORE:
SECTION 2. It is hereby ordained that the use district in the Zoning Ordinance and
on the Zone maps be, and the same are hereby changed covering the above described territory
to "Local Business" District and the said territory and the use and area thereof be
regulated accordingly.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect, from and after its
passage, apprpval by the Mayor and publication as by law required.
