AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX TO THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, CERTAIN TTERRITORY
CONTIGUOUS THERETO, DESCRIBING THE SAME, PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION
THEREOF AND FIXING THE TIME, VHEN THE SAME SHALL TAIL EFFECT.
BE IT ORDAIN:-D BY THE COMMON CUUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, ;IIAYNE
COUNTY, INDIANA.
SECTION 1. That the following described territory be annexed to and
declared to be part of said City of Richmond, Indiana:
Part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 5, Totmshi p 13 North,
Range 1-West, Wayne County, Indiana (and being part of Lot 28 of
Partition Plat of Samuel Burgess Estate filed in Plat Book 1, Page 4.03
of County Records) described as follows:
B.-dginni.ng at a point six hundred seven and three hundredths (607.03)
feet south of the northwest corner of said Quarter Section, which
beginning point is the southwest corner of Lot No. 15 in the Hunt s
Addition;
thence south, along the west line of said Quarter Section, three
hundred eighty and thirty two hundredths (380.32) feet to a point
seventy one and twenty eight hundredths (71.28) feet south of the
northwest corner of the south half of Lot No. 28 in partition plat
of Samuel Burgess Estate; t
thence east eight hundred fifty nine and eighty-one hundredths (859.81)
feet;
thence north one hundred seventeen and thirty three hundredths (117.33)
feet;
thence east to the present west corporation line of said City and being
the centerline of Abington Pike;
thence northeastwardly, along said present corporation line and the
centerline of Abington Pike one. hundred sixty nine and seventy eight
hundredths (169.78) feet, more or less, to present east -west corporation
line of. said City;_
thence west, along said east -crest corporation line four hundred thirty
nine and forty eight hundredths (439.48) feet, more or less, to its
intersection with present north -south corporation.line of said City;
thence north, along said present north -south corporation line of'said
City ninety nine (99) feet, more or less, to intersection with present
east -west corporation line of said City being the south line of Hunt's
Addition to said City; ,
thence west, along the east -west corporation line of said City and the
south line of said Hunt Addition to the place of beginning.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval by the Mayor and publication as, by law required.
