Dear Council Members,
Attached please find Ordinance 17-2021, an amendment to Ordinance 49-2020 (2021 Sanitation
Salary Ordinance).
An error was discovered that the AFSCME union contract was calculated at non-compounding
instead of compounding. This correction gives employees an increase of two cents per hour. This
salary change is expected to be found in savings from unfilled positions already in the budget
calculations and no additional appropriations are necessary to cover this expense.
