Section 7. That Section 1 (f) aiad Section 2 A cif Chapter
of Ordinanoe No. 1595-1956 be and the same are hereby repealed..
Section 2. That Seotion 4 of Chapter l of 0��dinance No. 1595-
1956 be amended to read as follows:
USecition 4. NOTICE TO OWNErR. AND REDEMPTION. The Dog CaGehe'r,
not latex than two (2) days following the :impounding of any dog, shall
notify the owner, or If the owner of the dog Is unknown, shall post
written notice at the police headquarters In the City of Rlchmtond5 des-
cribing the dog and place and time Of taking of said dog. The amnev, o o'
any dog$ withAn nine (9) days from the time of taking the dog so Im-
pounded$ may reclaim such cog Capon payment of all costo and charges
Incurred by the 0 `Gy of Rlohmond for the Impounding,, notice and keep -I ng
of the dog. The following charges shall be made- 'for impounding any dog,
Two Dollars ($2.00 ); for giving not?. cs, Two Dollars ars 02. 00) ; x o:,- keeping
any dog, Two Do, lags (S2.00) per day. I f the dog does not have a dog
check, the owner claiming dog must pay dog check fee in addition to he
above cost. Any deg leaving the ohelter must have a dog check."
:Section 3. That Section 5 of Chapter l of Ordinance No. 1595-
1956 be amended to read as follows:
"Section 5. DISPOSITI01V OF UNCLAIMED OR INF'ECL'ED DOG-Sq It
shall be the duty of the Dog Catcher -vith the coopero bion of the Depart-
ment of Police, employees of the Animal She ter and. the Health officer
to keep all dogs so impounded o other than jau*ected dogs m for a. period
of nine (9) days. If., At the expiration of nine (9) days From the date
of 'caking the dog, such dog shall not have beemn redeemed, it shall be
destroyed, or othe ►ise• disposed of in accordance Y-T1tY! the General Cone
set up by the State of Indiana.

released, but must be confined until it dies and theca the head must be
sent to the State Board of Health for examination and diagnosed. Al2.
