AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING,AND AUTHORIZING. THE EXECUTION OF
CONTRACT AND GRANT BETWEEN THE CITY OF-RICHMOND, INDIANA,
AND THE CHESAPEAKE AND OHIO RAILWAY COMPANY, FOR CON-
STRUCTION, MAINTENANCE -AND OPERATION OF 'AN'OVERHEAD
ELECTRIC WIRE LINE'OVER SAID RAILWAY'S SPUR TRACK AT
SOUTH EIGHTH AND Q STREETS IN SAID CITY-'OF..RICHM:OND,
INDIANA.
WHEREAS, the Municipal'Electri-c.Lighting and
Power Plant of the City of Richmond.is desirous of con-
structing an overhead -.electric wire line over and across
the spur tracks of The Chesapeake and Ohio.Railway
Company, at South Eighth and C Streets in said City of
Richmond; and
WHEREAS, the said The Chewapeake and Ohio -
Railway. Company. has 'submi 'u�ted an'�agreement. -'to the . said
City granting the right'.to-said. City to construct,
maintain and epera.te..an. ov'erh,ead electric wire liri-e:=`
crossing over -the Light Plant spur track which site is
1,247 feet south of switch boint;'and is, opvosite' Mile
Post 61 plus 1,9.86.5 feet;
,NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by tie Common
Council of the City of Richmond;". Indiana: -
Section 1: - The City of Richmond hereby and
herewith accepts the. contract -agreement submitted by the
Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Company, dated June 29, 1953,
granting the -right to the City of Richmond', Indiana to
construct, maintain and operate _an,overhead- electric wire
line crossing over the Light Plant spur track at South
E3.&hth and Q Streets -in said City of Richmond, Indiana
which site i's. 1,247 feet south' of switch point and -is
opposite Mile 'Posh 61 plus 1, 986. 5, feet.
Section 2: , The Manager -of, the Municinal Electric
Lighting a,nd :Power Plant of said 'Cit; of Richmond is -
hereby authorized a.nd directed to execute said contract
