A Regular Meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Regular Meeting
Borough of Carteret was called to order by Mayor Daniel J.
Reiman, 6:00 P.M., Thursday, March 26, 2015, in Council
Chambers, Memorial Municipal Building, 61 Cooke
Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey.
Upon individual roll call vote the following were noted
present:
Councilmember Vincent Bellino
" Dennis DiMascio
Randy Krum
Susan Naples
Joseph W. Sitarz
Noted absent was Councilman Jorge Diaz.
Also noted present was Kathleen M. Barney, Municipal
Clerk and Borough Attorney Robert J. Bergen, Esq.
The meeting was opened with a Minute of Silent Prayer
and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor Daniel J.
Reiman.
The Clerk stated that on January 5, 2015 the 2015 Annual
Notice was mailed to The Home News Tribune, The Star
Ledger and posted on the Bulletin Board. Notice was
published in The Home News Tribune on January 7, 2015
and The Star Ledger on January 8, 2015.

Approval of Minutes Upon MMS &C by Councilmembers Sitarz and Bellino and
unanimous affirmative vote of the five (5)
Councilmembers present, the Minutes of March 12, 2015
were approved, transcribed and engrossed by the Clerk.
The Clerk stated that Ordinance #15 -8 was introduced and
Adopted on First Reading on March 12, 2015. It was duly
Ordinance #15 -8 published in The Home News on March 18, 2015, with
County of o f Middlesex, NJ of Carteret
Cou notice that it will be considered for final passage after
Calendar Year 2015 - to Public Hearing to be held March 26, 2015 at approximately
Exceed the Hmicipal Bujget 6:00 P.M. The Ordinance was posted on the Bulletin Board
Appropriation Lindts & to and copies were made available to the general public and
Establish a Cap Bank according to law, she read the Ordinance by title
N.J.S.A. 4OA: 4 -45.14
Upon MMS &C by Councilmembers Sitarz and Krum and
unanimous affirmative vote of the five (5)
Opperd Councilmembers present, the Mayor declared the Public
Hearing to be opened.
There were no comments or objections from the public.
There being no further comments or objections to the
Closed Ordinance the Mayor declared the Public Hearing to be
closed upon MMS &C by Councilmembers Sitarz and
Bellino and unanimous affirmative vote of the five (5)
Councilmembers present.

signed were ordered to be paid. Upon individual roll call
vote, Councilmembers Bellino, DiMascio, Krum, Naples
and Sitarz voted in the affirmative. Councilmember Diaz
was noted absent.

BUILDINGS & GROUNDS — Committee Chairperson Naples
reported that they are getting ready for spring finally and
assisting when necessary.
FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION — Committee Chairperson
Diaz was excused.
FIRE & DOMESTIC PREPAREDNESS — Committee
Chairperson Krum reported that he was just over by the
Fire House and fire people are waiting for our CO'S. They
should have that tonight and I'm ready to go over there in
our new part of the building over there. Other than that,
Progress.

Parks, Recreation, PARKS, RECREATION & PUBLIC PROPERTY — Committee
&Public Property Chairperson Bellino reported Progress and getting ready
for the warm weather.
Police POLICE - Committee Chairperson Sitarz reported progress.
Public Works PUBLIC WORKS — Committee Chairperson DiMascio
reported that he hopes the snow is done and he reported
Progress.
Board of Education BOARD OF EDUCATION — Liaison Councilwoman Naples
reported that the schools had 1600 books donated to each
school. Pre K through fifth (5 1h ) grade were allowed to
take two (2) books home each to enjoy them with their
families. Spring recess is April 3` to the 6`
Mayor Reiman said wonderful.

affirmative vote of the five (5) Councilmembers present,
the meeting was adjourned at approximately 6:03 P. M.
