AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING CERTAIN FUNDS FROM -THE .1955- UN-
-OBLIGATED BALANCE OF'THE SPECIAL STREET TO'A CERTAIN. ITEM
OF THE-1955 BUDGET OF -THE SPECIAL STREET --FUND.
WHEREAS: An..extraordinary condition-•has.developed
since the adoption of the 1955 annual budget, by reason
-of'.;which it is. necessary to appropriate additional funds
in order to perform the 'functions of the. government . in
volved therein and -to meet the extraordinary emergency in
connection'therewith,.in this, that'the.Street and. -Alley .
Materials Account -of the'Special Streets.has been exhausted
while additional funds are -needed in order to . mee.t the
Street acid Alley Materials obligations to '.that d_epa'rtment
for the balance of the• year' 1955•
WHEREAS: There -exists an unobligated.balance in the-.
Special Street Fund ,of the -City of' -Richmond; _ Indiana .,...which,-
is 'sufficient to :cover.. the amount hereinafter appropriated.
•NOW,•': THEREFORE., BE IT.- ORDAINED, -BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE "CITY OF. RICHMOND, INDIANA:
SECTION l.. - That 'there is hereby appropriated: out .of"the
unobligated and unappropriated balance of the Special`
Street 1955. Budget •of ,the ,,City of Richmond; Indiana, the
sum _of Ten Thousand Dollars ($lO,000.00) to --Item 26.
"Street, and 'Alley Materials.11 of the 19'5.5 Budget " of. the
Special Streets'"Fund.
,SECTION 2. That. an- extraordinary emergency.exists for.,
.the above.. 'appropriation. _
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be --in -full "force
and -effect from and after it.s, -passage and approval -by the
Mayor and is subject to.the.laws of the State of Indiana
gove-rning emergency appropriations. `
