HomeMy Public PortalAbout03-01-2021 PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR RICHMOND POWER&LIGHT MARCH 1,2021 The Board of Directors for Richmond Power & Light Plant met in regular session on, March 1, 2021, immediately following the regular meeting of the Richmond Common Council, in the Community Room of the Municipal Building in said City. Chairperson Turner presided. ROLL CALL: Board members present were Doug Goss, Bill Engle, Jeff Cappa, Jeffrey Locke, Gary Turner,Ron Oler and Larry Parker.Absent were Board Members Kelley Cruse-Nicholson and Jane Bumbalough. Also present were: Randy Baker, General Manager; Tony. Foster, Assistant General Manager;Andrew Sickmann,Corporate Council;Karen Chasteen, City Clerk;Media;and, Sergeant-at-Arms. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Board Member Locke moved to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held February 1, 2021 supported by Board Member Goss.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • APPROVAL OF BILLS,INVESTMENTS AND TRANSFERS: Upon recommendation of the Finance Committee,Board Member Locke moved to approve claims for payments in the amount of Eight Million Five Hundred Eleven Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty One Dollars and fifty seven cents ($8,511,721.57), supported by Board Member Cappa. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. OLD BUSINESS: • Upon the recommendation of the Assistant General Manager, Board Member Parker moved to award the bid for a 2021 Ford F-250 XLT super duty,2 door regular cab pickup truck for the Meter department to Wetzel Ford,Richmond, Indiana,in the amount of$44,213 after the trade in of$1,500.00,supported by Board Member Cappa. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • Open bids on a 2021 mid-size SUV for Parallax as previously approved in the budget. Trade in will be Unit#57,2003 Ford Explorer with 131,542 miles. Board Member Locke moved to accept the Proof of Publication, supported by 1 - M RP&L—Board of Directors Minutes //,2021 Page 2 Board Member Engle. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. Wetzel Ford of Richmond, Indiana, submitted two bids: 2021/2022 FordEdge- $36,500 less $1500 trade in=$35,000 2021/2022 Ford Escape- $31,500 less $1500 trade in=- $30,000 Board Member Parker moved to refer the bids to the Assistant General Manager for due diligence, supported by Board Member Locke.Upon a vote viva voce the motion carried. • Open bids on a 2021 extended cab pickup 4X4 pickup truck with utility body for substation maintenance as previously approved in the budget. Trade in will be a 2009 Ford F350 with utility body with 83,206 miles. Board Member Locke moved to accept the Proof of Publication, supported by Board Member Engle. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. Wetzel Ford of Richmond, Indiana submitted one bid: 2021/2022 Ford 350- $59,452 less $10,000 trade in=$49,452 Board Member Engle moved to refer the bids to the Assistant General Manager for due diligence, supported by Board Member Cappa. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried.
