AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 140. 1472-1953, COMMAONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF RICHMOND, APPROVED APRIL 21, 1953.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana;
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1472-1953 commohly known as the
Zoning Ordinance of Richmond and the Zone Maps made a part thereof, designates
and describes as "Suburban" District, the following described territory in
the Two -Mile Jurisdictional Area beyond the corporate limits of said City,
in Wayne County, State of Indiana, to -wit:
The territory in the Southwest Quarter of Fractional Section 22,
Township 16 North , Range 14 East being further described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the south right -of way line of
U. S. Highway No. 40 (National Road) and the west line of said Quarter
Section, which is in the Round Barn Road, and running thence south,
along said Quarter Section line in said Road, four hundred eighty three
and five tenths (483.5) feet to a point nine hundred ninety six (996)
feet north of the southwest corner of said Quarter Section, thence east,
one thousand eight hundred and seven (1807) feet to the east line of
land, now or formerly owned by EotbAilrr&-H[Lda- J';�- Teetur thence north,
along said east line of land owned bg NsaiaF Teetbrs_-1:'.'r--es eight
hundred thirty eight (838) feet to the south right-of-way line of said
U. S. Highway No. 40, thence southwestwardly, along the south right-of-way
line of said Highway, one thousand eight hundred thirty five (1835) feet .
to the place of beginning, excepting that part of above described territory
extending 200 feet south of the south right-of-way of said U. S. Highway
No. 40 now zoned as "Local Business" District.
WHEREAS, it is the purpose and intention hereof to change the use of
said territory to "Local Business District."
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 2. It is hereby ordained that the use district in the Zoning
Ordinance and on the Zone Map be, and same is hereby changed covering the
above described territory to "Local Business District" and that the said
territory and the use and area thereof be regulated accordingly.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval by the Mayor, and publication as by law required.
