ORDINANCE NO. /54 - 1955
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1472-1953, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF,RICHMOND, APPROVED APRIL 21, 1953.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana;
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1472-1953 commonly known as the
Zoning Ordinance of Richmond and the done Maps made a part thereof, designates
and describes as "Suburban" District, the following described territory in
the T.wo-Mile Jurisdictional Area beyond the corporate limits of said City,
in Wayne County, State of Indiana, to -wit:
Territory on the south side of Jest Main Street from a line 733
feet west of the west line of Southwest 18th Street to the east
line of property owned by Central Broadcasting Corporation being
1173 feet, more or less,west of the west line of Southwest 18th
Street and extending south from south end of present "Local Business"
District to property occupied by the Drive -In Theatre, being
786 feet, more or less, south of and parallel with the south line
of West Main :itreet.
6dHEREAS, it is the purpose and intention hereof to change the use
of said territory to "Local Business District."
NOYi THEREFORE:
,SECTION 2. It is hereby ordained that the use district in the Zoning
Ordinance and on the Zone Map be, and same is hereby changed covering the
above described territory to "Local Business District" and that the said
territory and the use and area thereof be regulated accordingly.
SECTION 3.. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval by the Mayor, and publicatioh;-as by law
required.
