AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1472-1953, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF RICHAIOND, APPROVED APRIL 21, 1953•
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana;
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1472-1953 commonly known as the ,
Zoning Ordinance of Richmond and the Zone Maps made a part thereof, designates
and describes as "C" Residential District, the following described territory
in said City of Richmond, Wayne County, State of Indiana, to -wit:
The territory fronting on the south side of South "A" Street,
between South 2nd Street and the alley between South 4th and
South 5th Streets and extending south from the south line of
South "A" Street as follows: 50 feet between South 2nd Street
and the alley between South 2nd and South 3rd Streets; 45 feet
between the alley between South 2nd and 3rd Streets and South
3rd Street;,42 feet between South 3rd Street and the alley between
South 4th and South 5th Streets.
WHEREAS, it is the purpose and intention hereof to change the use of
said territory to "General Business District".
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 2. It is hereby ordained that the use district in the Zoning
Ordinance and on the Zone Map be, and same is hereby changed covering the
above described territory to "General Business District" and that the said
territory and the use and area thereof be regulated accordingly.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval by the Mayor, and publication as by law requirdd.
