AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1472-1953, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF RICHMOND,, .APPROVED APRIL 21, 1953.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana;
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1472-1953 commonly known as the
Zoning Ordinance of Richmond and the Zone Maps made a part thereof, designates
and describes as "Suburban District", the following described territory in the
Two -Mile Jurisdictional Area beyond the corporate limits of said City, in
Wayne County, State of Indiana, to -wit:
Beginning at the intersection of New Paris Pike (State Road No. 121)
and Porterfield Road and running thence north along Porterfield Road
one thousand four hundred forty five (1445) feet; thence west one thousand
thirty four (1034) feet; thence north three hundred seventy (370) feet;
thence west two thousand six hundred forty (2640) feet; thence north
eight hundred twenty five (825) feet; thence west one thousand ninety
seven (1097) feet; thence south to New Paris Pike; thence eastwardly
along New Paris Pike to place of beginning.
WHEREAS, it is the purpose and intention hereof to change the use of
said territory to "Heavy Industrial District".
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 2. It is hereby ordained that the use district in the Zoning
Ordinance and on the Zone Map be, and same is hereby changed covering the
above described territory to "Heavy Industrial District" and that the said
territory and the use and area thereof be regulated accordingly.
SECTION 3..'- This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval by the Mayor, and publication as by law required.
