HomeMy Public PortalAbout04-01-2021 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, APRIL 1, 2021 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday, April 1, 2021, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond,Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Emily Palmer and Matt Evans. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns,Deputy City Clerk; Terri Quinter, Rose View Transit Supervisor; Sherry Hemingway, Payroll and .Benefits Administrator; Ian Vanness, City Planner; Major Aly Tonuc; and, Media via Zoom. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms. Palmer moved to approve the minutes of March 25, 2021, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for April 2, 2021 in the amount of One Hundred Forty Thousand Four Hundred Forty Four Dollars and eighteen cents ($140,444.18), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT-None PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION Mr.Evans moved to approve the Payroll Claims for Payment for Pension for March 31,2021 in the amount of Two Hundred Sixty Nine Thousand Two Hundred Twenty Three Dollars and twenty five cents ($269,223.25), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. REQUESTS -None BID OPENINGS -None BID AWARDS -None Board of Works Minutes April 1,2021 CONTRACTS • CONTRACT NO. 29-2021 —MIDWEST TRANSIT—REVISED This contract was approved on March 11, 2021. Since then it was brought to the City's attention that they didn't need to provide insurance so this contract has been revised omitting SECTION V. from the contract. Ms. Palmer moved to rescind the original contract and approve the revised contract, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 39-2021 —OPTUMRX, INC They will provide professional pharmacy and prescription management and claim services for the City. The Term of the contract is for 3 years. Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms.Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 40-2021 — EMPLOYEE HEALTH PURCHASING COPORATION This is a business associate agreement that the City joined in order to receive preferential pricing with their Pharmacy Benefits Manager. The annual membership fee is $750.00 annually. Ms.Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried.Ms.Palmer moved to allow Vicki Robinson as Board President to sign the contract, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 42-2021 —TRC ENVIRONMENTAL CORPORATION They will provide Phase 1 Environmental Assessment of the former My Way Trading site. Not to exceed $12,850.20 Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 50-2021 —BLUNK SAFETY SYSTEMS They will furnish and install emergency lighting, cage partitions, consoles, and siren systems for nine (9)new police cars recently purchased by the Police Department. Two of the unmarked cars will not have partitions. Not to exceed$26,043.67 Board of Works Minutes April 1,2021 Ms. Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans.
