Home My Public Portal About017-2021 - Amendment to 2021 Sanitary Salary Ordinance r -, COMMON COUNCIL OF 1'HF CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA ORDINANCE NO.17-2021 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE TO BE KNOWN AS 1HI SANITARY DISTRICT 2021 SALARY ORDINANCE WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-4-7-3 requires the Mayor to fix the compensation of each appointive officer,deputy and other employee of the city departments,except police officers and firefighters,prior to November 1st for the ensuing budget year subject to the approval of Common Council;and WHEREAS, Said statute allows the City Clerk to fix the compensation of the deputies and employees of the Clerk's office prior to November 1st for the ensuing budget year subject to the approval of Common Council;and WHEREAS, The compensation fixed herein may not be increased during the budget year for which it is fixed but may be reduced by the Mayor for each appointive officer,deputy and other employee of the city departments set forth herein or by the City Clerk for employees of the Clerk's office;except by amendment approved by Common Council;and WHEREAS, Common Council has previously adopted Ordinance 49-2020 to establish salaries for the year 2021 and now finds it necessary to amend the salaries within the Sanitation department. The Richmond Sanitary Board of Commissioners shall set compensation for these employees within the range from$7.25 to$15.00 per hour. ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION In addition to the salaries set forth above(with the exception of Board Members)employees shall be entitled to the same fringe benefits as set forth within the City of Richmond Personnel Policy or as stated in negotiated contracts.
