A CAPITAL PROJECT AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION OF
THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY
BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE
OF AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATORS (AED)
FROM ONE BEAT CPR LEARNING CENTER, INC., AT A
COST NOT TO EXCEED $85,000; PROVIDING FOR
AUTHORIZATION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village Manager, in accordance with Section 2-83 of the Village Code of
Ordinances, recently sought proposals for the purchase of several Automated External Defibrillators
(AED) for use within the Village (the `'Equipment'); and
WHEREAS, after careful review of the proposals submitted, the Village Manager
recommends the purchase of the Equipment from One Beat CPR Learning Center, Inc., at a cost not
to exceed $85,000; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and
welfare of the residents of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals Adopted. Each of the above stated recitals are hereby adopted,
confirmed and incorporated herein.
Section 2. Purchase. The Village Council hereby authorizes the purchase of the
Equipment from One Beat CPR Learning Center, Inc., consistent with the proposal attached as
Exhibit "A," at a cost not to exceed to exceed $85,000.

Section 3. Village Manager Authorized. The Village Manager is hereby authorized
to execute a purchase order for the Equipment, consistent with the proposal attached as Exhibit
"A," at a cost not to exceed $85,000.
Section 4. Effective Date. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of October, 2014.
