Home My Public Portal About007-2021 - Grant - Annual Blanket - programs r COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA ORDINANCE NO. 7-2021 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,ACCEPTANCE,AND APPROPRIATION OF GRANTS FROM VARIOUS SOURCES WHEREAS, In accordance with Indiana Code (IC) 36-1-4-10, a municipality may execute any documents necessary to receive money from the state or federal government or any other source, and said documents are prepared and executed by the City executive administration, provided that the Common Council of the City of Richmond as the legislative body of the City approves an ordinance for the appropriation of any monies received in accordance with IC 36-4-6-18; and WHEREAS, The City of Richmond through its Parks Department administration ("Parks Department") is aware of numerous grant application opportunities available during the 2021 calendar year from various sources where the respective grant programs (a) do not require local fund matches out of the City's budget; or(b)only require matches that are labor"in kind"matches; and WHEREAS, The Parks Department wishes to apply for said grants in order to take advantage of each respective grant opportunity-and meet any recurring deadlines in a timbly manner.
