ORDINANCE 14-2021
AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE,AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE UNITED
STATES FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION
WHEREAS, In accordance with Indiana Code(IC) 36-1-4-10, a municipality may execute
any documents necessary to receive money from the state or federal
government or any other source, and said documents are prepared and
executed by the City executive administration, provided that the Common
Council of the City of Richmond as the legislative body of the City approves
an ordinance for the appropriation of any monies received in accordance with
IC 36-4-6-18; and
WHEREAS, The Federal Aviation Administration has grant funding available.through its
2021 Airport Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to assist with the
costs associated with the snow removal equipment and building project for the
Richmond Municipal Airport; and
WHEREAS, A five percent(5%)local match is required and a five percent(5%)state match
is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond in accordance with IC 36-1-4-10 has submitted or will
submit a grant application to the Federal Aviation Administration for the 2021
Airport Improvement Program grant for the- Snow Removal Equipment and
Building Project.
2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount
• up to Sixty-eight Thousand Two Hundred Eighty-one Dollars and Zero Cents
($68,281.00) from the Federal Aviation Administration and to accept up to
Three Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-three Thousand Dollars and Forty
Cents($3,793.40)from the State of Indiana.

3. The local match of Three Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-three Thousand
Dollars and Sixty Cents($3,793.60)will be provided from airport budget funds.
4. If the grant is awarded to the City of Richmond, said funds from the United
States Federal Aviation Administration in the amount of up to Sixty-eight
Thousand Two Hundred Eighty-one Dollars and Zero Cents ($68,281.00) and
the amount of up to Three Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-three Thousand
Dollars and Forty Cents ($3,793.40) from the State of Indiana shall be
appropriated for assistance with the costs associated with the above described
snow removal equipment and building project for the Richmond Municipal
Airport.
Passed and adopted this/ day of 4, 2021, by the Common Council of
the City of Richmond, Indiana.
