AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 14.72-1953, commonly known as the Zoning
Ordinance of Richmond, approved April 21, 1953.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana;
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1472-1953 commonly known as the
Zoning Ordinance of Richmond and the Zone Maps made a part thereof, designates
and described as "Suburban District"', the following described territory in
the Two -Mile Jurisdictional Area beyond the corporate limits of said City,
in Wayne County, State of Indiana, to -wit:
The territory included between the National Road (U.S.40) and the Old
National Road, east of Richmond and extending westward from the easterly
intersection of said Roads to the Gravel Pit Road all being located in the
Southwest Quarter of Section Thirty Six (36), Township Fourteen (14) North,
Range One (1) West, Mayne County, Indiana, and
WHEREAS, it is the purpose and intention hereof to change the use of
said territory to "Limited Industrial District".
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 2. It is hereby ordained that the use district in the Zoning
Ordinance and on the Zone.Map be, and same is hereby changed covering the
above described territory to "Limited Industrial District" and that the said
territory and the use and area thereof be regulated accordingly.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval by the Mayor, and publication as by law required®
Passed by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, this
day of 1954•
