AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 1472-1953, commonly known as the
Zoning Ordinance of Richmond, approved April 21, 1953.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana;
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1472-1953 commohiy known as the
Zoning Ordinance of Richmond and the Zone Maps made a part thereof, designates
and describes as Suburban District, the following described territory in the
Two -Mile Jurisdictional Area beyond the corporate limits of said City, in Wayne
County, State of Indiana, to -wits
All the territory fronting on the north.side of National Road West, from
a point in the north right-of-way line of said National Road two thousand forty
eight and fifty seven hundredths (2048.57) feet eestwardly, measured along said
right-of-way line, from the west line of said Section, which is in the Round
Barn or Hogback Road, westwardly to the east end of present "Local Business
District" east of said Hogback Road and extending two hundred (200) feet north
of north right-of-way line of said National Road, said territory being in the
Southwest Quarter of Fractional Section 229 Township 16 North, Range 14 East.
All the territory fronting on the south side of National Road,,West, from
a point in the south right-of-way line of said National Road one thousand eight
hundred thirty five (1,835) feet eestwardly, measured along said south right-of-way
line, from the west line of said Section which is in the Round Barn Road west-
wardly to the east. end of present "Local Business District" east of said Round
Barn Road and extending two hundred (200) feet south of south right-of-way line
of said National Road9 said territory being`"the Southwest Quarter of Fractional
Section 22, Township 16 North, Range 14 East..
WHEREAS, it is the purpose and intention hereof to change the use of
said territory to "Local Business District".
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 2. It is hereby ordained that the use district in the Zoning
Ordinance and on the Zone Map be, and same is hereby changed covering the
above described territory to "Local Business District"' and that the said
territory and the use and area thereof be regulated accordingly.,
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval by the Mayor, and publication -as by law required.
