HomeMy Public PortalAbout1542-1954 - Annexation - South 9th Street to Boston Pike� J 7 BOOK FAGE ORDINANCE N0. /j —195 j 195,J_• Attest: AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX TO THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, CERTAIN TERRITORY CONTIGIOUS THERETO, DESCRIBING THE SAME, PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION THEREOF AND FIXING THE TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMNION COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA. SECTION NO. 1. That the following described territory be annexed to and declared to be part of the said City of Richmond,'Indiana: Being a part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 9, Township 13 North, Range One West, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the west line of said quarter section being the center line of South 9th Street eighty (80) feet south of the north line of Lot No. 1 in Original South Richmond Addition as laid out by C. T. Price, thence east, parallel with the north line of Lots Nos. 1 and 35 in said South Richmond Addition, five hundred thirty three and fifty hundredths (533.50) feet, thence north, parallel with said center line of South 9th Street forty five and fifty hundredths (4.5.50) feet, thence east, parallel with the north line of said Lot 35, to the west line of Lots 1 to 18, both inclusive of C. T. Price 3rd Sub -division to South Richmond, thence south along the west line of said Lots Nos. 1 to 18, both inclusive and its extension south to the center line of the Boston Pike, thence northwestwardly, along the center line of said Boston Pike, to the southeasterly line of Lot No, 2 Edgemount Addition extended northeastwardly to the center line of said Boston Pike, thence southwestwardly and westwardly, along the southeastwardly and southerly lines of said Lot No. 2 and same extended to the center line of South 9th Street, thence north, along the center line of South 9th Street to the place of beginning. SECTION No. 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and publication as by law required.
