AN ORDINANCE emending Ordinance No. 1472-1953, commonly known as the Zoning
Ordinance of Richmond, approved April 21, 1953•
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana;
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1472-1953 commonly known as the

Zoning Ordinance of Richmond and the Zone Maps made a part thereof, designated
and describes as I'D" Residential District, the following described territory
in said City of Richmond, Wayne County, State of Indiana, to -wit:
Official Map Tracts Nos. 498 and 499, fronting on the south side of Main
Street immediately west of South 18th Street;
Between North 17th,and North 18th Streets, from Main Street to the first
alley north thereof and
WHEREAS, it is the purpose and intention hereof to change the use of said
territory to "General Business District".
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 2. It is hereby ordained that the use district in the Zoning
Ordinance and on the Zone Map be, and same is hereby changed covering the
above described territory to "General Business District" and that the said
territory and the use and area thereof be regulated accordingly.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval by the Mayor, and publication as by law required.
