AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 1472--1953, commonly known as the Zoning
Ordinance of Richmond, approved April 21, 1953•
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana;
SECTION 1.-- WRE'REAS, Ordinance No. 1472--1953 commonly known as the
Zoning Ordinance of Richmond and the Zone Maps made a part thereof, designates
and describes as "Limited Industrial District", the following described
territory in said City of Richmond, Wayne County, -State of Indiana, to -wit:
Beginning at the south side of Northwest "K" Street at a place where said
street is intersected by the Pennsylvania Railroad; thence east to Harris Stree
thence south along Harris Street to Northwest "J" Street; thence west along the
north side of Northwest "J" Street to a place where said Northwest "J" Street
intersects with the Pennsylvania Railroad; thence northwesterly along the
right-of-way of the Pennsylvania Railroad to the place of beginning; and
WBEREAS, it is the purpose and intention hereof to change the use of said
territory to "C" Residential District.
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION-2--It is hereby ordained that the use district in the Zoning
Ordinance and on the Zone Map be, and the same is hereby changed covering the
above described territory to "C".Residential District and that the said
territory and the use and area thereof be regulated accordingly.
SECTION 3--This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval by the Mayor, and publication as by law required.
