ORDINANCE NO.148 1953
AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No, 1472 1953, commonly known as the Zoning
Ordinance of Richmond, approved April 21, 1953,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana;
SECTION 1.---WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1472-1953 commonly known as the
Zoning Ordinance of Richmond and the Zone Maps made a part thereof, designates
and describes as "D " Residential District, the following described territory
in said City of Richmond, Wayne County, State of Indiana, to -wit:
Between North 7th and North 9th Streets, from North "A" to North "B"
Streets;
Between North 9th and North loth Streets from North "A" Street to first
alley north of and parallel to north line of North "A" Street,
Between North loth Street and North 16th Streets from North line of North
"A" Street to a line one hundred one (101) feet north of and parallel to north
line of North "A" Street and
WHEREAS, it is the purpose and intention hereof to change the use of said
territory to "Local Business District".
NOW THMEFORE:
SECTION 2.--It is hereby ordained that the use district in the Zoning
Ordinance and on the Zone Map be, and same is hereby changed covering the above
described territory to "Local Business District" and that the said territory
and the use and area thereof be regulated accordingly.
SECTION 3.--This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval by the Mayor, and publication as by law required.
