HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 1796R~8-~~~~~~85 Ordinance No. 1796 ~Ii i I ~~~mt~+ ttecard~er i~ a ~~= ~~)) a~ r. f71f~ I'R~~'`~ Sw.l~ ~' ~~"~~47v~ ~39~' ~ c'f ~ AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY OWNED BY JAMES BANNISTER AND CHRISTINE BANNISTER AND PROPERTY CONCEPTS, INC., COMPRISING OF 60 ACRES LOCATED ALONG THE EAST SIDE OF ROUTE 59 IMMEDIATELY NORTH OF GRAVER ESTATES (SOUTH OF 127TH STREET), PLAINFIELD, ILLINOIS. pIN #0134100002 WHEREAS, the real estate hereinafter described is contiguous to the Village of Plainfield and is not within the territorial limits of any other municipality; and WHEREAS, no electors reside on said territory; and WHEREAS, notices as required by statute have been served and published, and a proper hearing has been held; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Village of Plainfield that said territory be annexed to the Village. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, as follows: Sec. 1: Territory Described. That the following described tract of land herein called territory, to-wit: THE NORTH 60 ACRES OF THE SOUTH HALF OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 34, TOWNSHIP 37 NORTH, RANGE 9 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, WHEATLAND TOWNSHIP, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS be, and the same is hereby annexed to and declared part of the Village of Plainfield, a Municipal Corporation. Sec. 2: Village Limits Extended. That the Village limits of the Village of Plainfield be, and the same are hereby extended to include the above described territory. /~3 R98~~~4~85 Sec. 3: Ordinance No. 1 Amended. That Ordinance No. 1 of the Village of Plainfield be amended as follows: That the limits of the Village of Plainfield shall be extended to include the tract of land described in Section 2 hereof. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby repealed. This Ordinance shall be numbered as Ordinance No. 1796 and shall take effect upon its passage and approval in accordance with the provisions of the Statutes of the State of Illinois in such case made and provided and the Village Clerk shall certify two copies of this Ordinance together with an accurate map of the annexed territory and file same in the Office of the County Clerk and the Village Clerk shall certify a copy of this Ordinance together with an accurate map of the annexed territory and record same in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of said Will County.
