RESOLUTION NO. 2013.014
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO SEND OUT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR A NEW
COLLECTION AGENCY CONTRACT
WHEREAS, in May 2011, the City entered into a two-year contract with National
Recovery Agency; and
WHEREAS, this contract will expire on April 30, 2013; and
WHEREAS, to continue Uninterrupted collection services, staff requires sufficient
time to prepare and issue a Request for Proposals, review the proposals from interested
collection agencies and recommend a new contract to the City Council by the time the
current contract with National Recovery Agency expires; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Request for Proposals will specify a term for collection
for two years.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. .That the City Council authorizes staff to send out a Request for
Proposals for a new collection agency contract.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. '
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5th day of February, 2013.
