A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A CONTRACT TO SILVERADO STAGES FOR OPERATION OF THE LYNWOOD
FIXED ROUTE BUSES SYSTEM UTILIZING FOUR REGULAR BODY BUSES AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the current contract for the Lynwood Fixed-Route and the Blue Line
Bus Contract Amendment is to expire on February 28, 2013 and a new contract needs
to be in place to avoid disruption of this services to Lynwood residents; and
WHEREAS, staff has duly completed the Request for Proposals process for the
new contract; and
WHEREAS, staff has found that Silverado Stages is the best overall contractor to
provide this service.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council awards a contract to Silverado Stages utilizing
four regular body buses for the Lynwood Fixed-Route and the Blue Line Bus Service.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the contract in the form to be
approved by the City Attorney.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5th day of February, 2013.
