AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE RATE AND AMOUNT OF TAXES FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES TO BE LEVIED ON PROPERTY AND POLLS WITHIN THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA, FOR THE, YEAR 1952 AND COLLECTED IN 1.953, AND PROVIDING FOR THE TAKING EFFECT THOREOF. SECTION 1. BE IT_ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA, That the amount of taxes to be levied on property and polls within the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, for_the year 1952, to be collected in 1953, shall be $482,057.41.and the rate of such tax and purpose thereof shall be as follows: . A. For the :General Fund of said City, the levy shall be $0.5475 on each One Hundred Dollars assed valuation, and this shall be placed in the said General Fund with monies raised by poll tax $316,079.57•, B. For the General Sinking Fund of said City for the purpose of paying interest and principal on bonded indebtness, etc., of said City, on each One Hundred Dollars assessed valuation, there shall be levied $0.08. C. For the Police Pension Fund of said City, on each One Hundred Dollars assessed valuation, there whall be levied $0.05 2%3. D. For the City Planning Commission of said City, on each One Hundred Dollars assessed valuation, there shall be levied $0.00 1/3. E. For the Park Department of said City, on each One Hundred Dollars assessed valutation, there shall be levied $0.1475. F. And there shall also be assessed and collected on each taxable poll within the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana,'the sum of $0.25 making a total tax rate on property within the City of Richmond, Wayne_,County, Indiana, the sum of $0.8350 on each One Hundred Dollars assessed valuation. SECTION 2. Said taxes shall be paid and allocated as provided by an ACT of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana, entitled, "AN ACT GOVERNING MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS", approved March 6, 1905, and subsequent parts thereto amendatory and/or supplemental thereto'or therefor. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, properly signed by the President of Common Council thereof, submission to and approval of the Mayor of the City of Richmond, Indiana, and with notice as is required by law.
