IDLLSBOROUGH TOWN BOARD RETREAT PLANNING COMMITTEE
December 19, 2001
5:30 PM, Town Manager's Office
The Hillsborough Town Board held a Special Meeting on December 19,2001 at 5:30 PM in the
Hillsborough Town Manager's Office for the Purposes of Discussing and Preparing for the Town
Board's Annual Retreat. Present for the Board Meeting were Mayor Joe Phelps, and
Commissioners Mark Sheridan and Michael Gering. Staff present was Town Manager Eric
Peterson.
The group discussed a desire to rename the Board's Annual Retreat and call it the "Strategic
Planning & Budgeting Workshop for FYs03-05".
It was decided to hold the Workshop at the Piedmont Electric Cooperative Board Room on
NC86 on Saturday, February 9, 2002 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
It was suggested that the Manager contact a facilitator for the Workshop.
Items assigned to the Agenda for the Workshop were: Discussion of the Town's Financial
Condition, Growth Planning, Future Recreation Possibilities, and Ways to Improve
Communication & Customer Service with Citizens.
By consensus, the group adjourned at 7:30 PM.
